Shades of Purple

This 9”x12” painting was so much fun to create! The model is the teenage child of two of my dearest friends, and my aim was to capture this young person’s bold spirit on a relatively small canvas. To do so, I used a bright palette to make the image pop, and yet the eye softens all of those purples, oranges, blues, and bright pinks so they create a harmonious image.
